Christian Aid Report 2016
In April during church watch season St. Andrew's Church had the privilege of hosting Christian Aid's Photographic Exhibition called I Witness for a month, whose purpose was to raise awareness of the work done by Christian Aid not necessarily to raise funds. The exhibition of the inspirational photographs and artwork, six years after the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti, reflected the countries hope and resilience. We welcomed Fiona Dabourn, our area representative from Christian Aid, to speak at our morning service on 24th April and to launch the Photographic exhibition. A cake sale was hosted by the children of St Andrew's after the service, which raised £56 towards Christian Aid.
We also held a Christian Aid Quiz, which raised £500.
Collections were held outside Gardenworld and Asda, which amounted to £350
Christian Aid Envelopes raised around £795
Our contribution to Christian Aid this year was around £1675
