Bell Ringers

Bell Ringers

Learning the ropes

The Bell Ringers ring every Sunday morning from 9:15 - 10am for the Sunday Service. There are 8 bells and 14 members. They practice on a Wednesday night at 7:30pm. New members are always welcome. Once a month they have a practice with Mark ringers and once a month they have an 8 bell practice at Bridgwater, Woolavington, Highbridge and Burnham. They have ringers from other branches come and ring Quarter peals which last for about 45 - 50 minutes and on 12th March 2016 they had a band ring a full peal which lasted about 3 and a half hours, to celebrate the Church's 700 years.

They have their quarterly meeting a year where they ring first then a church Service with tea and a meeting. They also like to ring the old year out and the new year in. Ringing is a good social activity and a good hobby.
